Book Review: From Beruit to Jerusalem by Thomas L. Friedman

Tom Friedman's primer on how the Middle East works was written over 15 years ago, but still is relevant to today's Middle East issues. Friedman is a well-known columnist for the New York Times who has recently shifted his focus from the Middle East to globalization. He still comments regularly on the Middle East and his comments have resonance around the world. His latest book, The World Is Flat, conveys his ideas on globalism and how it permeates to all parts of the world in so many ways.

If you want to begin to understand the Middle East, where it has been and where it is, this compelling story tracks Friedman's jounalistic work from Beruit to Jerusalem. His insight and explanations are understandable for a beginner, but it even challenges experts in Middle East affairs.
Also author of: The World is Flat, The Lexus and the Olive Tree and Longitudes and Attitudes.
